Setting Up

Assuming you live in Kaldus, when you become old enough to handle your own finances, you would go to HHS, and see a worker. The worker will do a DNA comparison to make sure you are who you say you are. You would also have an ID card, which you would present to the worker as well. Assuming you brought your computer, and phone with you – HHS will be able to help you set up an account. The worker will provide you with your GIN number, and direct you to the Government’s home page where you would create an account. For the account, your login is your GIN, and you would decide a password with some restrictions. If you have a phone, or a PDA with an internet connection, then you would be encouraged to setup 2FA. A 2FA code will be required to be entered anytime a new device attempts to log in. In all instances, you will be notified by email or RCS anytime someone attempts to log into your account. If you choose to not have a 2FA code setup, then you would have less security, and will have to go to HHS to recover your account. The 2FA code is a little inconvenient when logging in from another device, but invaluable for keeping bad actors out of your account.

When you create your Government account, any accounts issued into your name will be transferred, and allow you to see everything in your name. This will include your bank account, any telephone services, any education accounts, and anything else in your name. Once the accounts are transferred to your account, you will be responsible for keeping your accounts in order. Therefore, if you have a cellular phone plan, you are now responsible for that cellular phone plan. In addition, all locks that you have access to will be listed here. This will allow you to see what is going on, and what you have access too. Keep in mind that your ID card is the digital key for any building meeting NSC standards.

In regards to your bank account, you will be able to use your ID card to pay for things within Kaldan borders. If you need/want a debit card, you would have to go a KNB branch, and get one issued to you. When you wish to have a debit card, it will use a Mastercard logo, and you would receive your debit card within minutes of asking for one.
