The reason of why there is no address on the ID card is security. With any new construction, or renovation work, the locking system will use RFID, and the ID card essentially becomes the key for entry into their residence. By providing the address on the ID card, it gives the bad actor not only the key to get into the residence, but also the location of the residence. Also, having the address on the ID card will mean that the citizen will have to get a new ID card when they move. This could become tedious, or a lot of work if the citizen moves often.
Emergency services will have access to the physical address when using the person’s ID card. This will allow emergency services to know exactly what they need to know including the residence of the person in question. However, these terminals are not available to just anyone, and they will need to access the database system which is locked to emergency services terminals only.
