GAON

The GAON (Government Authorized Order Number) is as the implies, it authorizes the order number to be valid by the government. Since the GIN should never be disclosed, and everyone knows your NIN, there has to be a method that reduces the chance of fraud. This is where the GAON comes in.

The person will login the government portal with their credentials. There will be a tab that will say “Acquire GAON” which the user will select that. They will provide the Business ID Number, and within a minute, they will be issued a GAON. To reduce the chances of fraud, there can only be 5 GAONs to one person. Also, each GAON is valid for 30 days and only to the company that you created the GAON for. The person will need both the GAON and their NIN ID card to acquire services. If they are doing it online, they will be required to upload their NIN card in .png format which the image can be acquired from the government’s website.

For example, a person can apply for a GAON for their preferred telephone provider. That number can not be used to acquire a loan, and another person can’t use your number to get service with your preferred provider. The company, and NIN must match in order for the GAON to be valid. Any company setting up services without this authentication method maybe held liable for any financial or physical damages.

Every business that operates within Kaldus must have this system in place for any accounts. In example, Ford (a US company) can have a plant in Kaldus. If the resident chooses to buy one vehicle, there will be no need to acquire a GAON unless there is financing involved. If the customer was to pay for the automobile in cash, then there is no need to setup an account unless Ford was to offer a free service that requires a registration process. Purchasing multiple vehicles will likely require a business relationship, and therefore a GAON. If one is unsure on whether they need a GAON should get one just in case. They can always go online, and cancel the GAON.

If there are already a standing account with a particular person, then a GAON is not required to modify services. A person who has an account with their favorite telephone provider will not be required to acquire a GAON if they wish to add a line. However, if they closed their account, and wish to open it back in the future, they will require a GAON since the customer has no active service with the company.
